Early symptoms of Vitamin C deficiency, or scurvy are malaise and lethargy. That’s basically a “general feeling of being unwell” along with tiredness and/or exhaustion.
Does this sound like you?
After a few months comes shortness of breath and bone pain. Further down the road you maybe experiencing muscle pain, skin sores, gum disease, loose teeth, wounds that do not heal, dry mouth, dry eyes, and emotional problems. In the later stages one may experience jaundice, edema, fever, convulsions, and eventually death.
The cure for scurvy was ignored for nearly 200 years after its discovery
Nutrition and natural therapies are still ignored modern medicine. In fact I’d be willing to bet that if you went to see a doctor with some of the symptoms of scurvy that I listed above, you be subjected to a barrage of expensive tests, misdiagnosed, prescribed pharmaceutical drugs, and subjected to treatments for some other disease
Here are some common whole food sources of Vitamin C
The body keeps a small reserve of Vitamin C available for use when there is increased internal demand, but when you are sick this is quickly depleted.
According toThomas Levy MD, liposomal vitamin C shows a ten-fold increase over the effect of IV vitamin C: I found that liposome encapsulated vitamin C, taken orally, was roughly 10 times more effective clinically in resolving infectious diseases than the IVC. Having given thousands of IVCs and taken hundreds myself, this was difficult to comprehend, even though the clinical observation was quite straightforward.
Have you ever taken Vitamin C when you had a cold and it didn’t help? This is probably because you didn’t take near enough.
3John 1:2 "Beloved I pray above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health even as thy soul prospereth"
Vitamin C supports nearly every system in your body: your adrenals, your immune system, your
cardiovascular system, and more. Perhaps the most important is that it is a neutralizer of free radicals and its intracellular delivery,
Suggested Usage / Dosing
For a cold – 2 teaspoons every 1- 2 hours the first 24 hours. 2 teaspoons 4 X a day for 2-3 days after until symptoms are gone then resume maintenance dosing.
For flu - Although it's more serious, the viral load is similar, according to research, and following the above schedule should be sufficient.
For shingles - Research has shown that this painful post-viral condition can be pretty well cured by using Lipo c Liposomal vitamin C. 1 tablespoon 4 X a day until symptoms subside.
For a hangover - Taking 5,000 mg daily in the week before a booze-up reduces stress on the liver. If you're drunk and want to look sober, a large dose of vitamin C will prevent drunken behaviour, according to a 1986 study, "Alcohol and Alcoholism
For children daily maintenance these references are helpful: Up to age 3: based upon their age (1,000 mg – 3,000 mg for 1- yr-olds; 2,000 mg – 4, 000 mg for 2-yr olds, etc., in divided doses)
••This is for maintenance not for sickness. (calibration may used for children as well)
Viruses & Bacteria replicate to full strength within 2 hours taking every 1-2 hours stops this replication
Referring to the work of Robert Cathcart, MD, we suggest the ability to tolerate daily oral vitamin C varies between 6,000 and 16, 000 mg daily, if you have ordinary (not severe) health (poor to average) status. Cathcart’s clinical experience demonstrates that almost all humans tolerate 4 grams of vitamin C daily. (See calibration instructions)
The daily allowance may not prevent or resolve disease that comes from deficiency of vitamin C. Cardiovascular disease, as an example, requires from 8,000 to 50,000 mg Vitamin C daily; cancers may require 100,000 to 200,000 mg daily.’ (Excerpt from the research of Drs Hickey & Roberts)
**Vitamin C is safe, is not a cause of "stones" (C can actually help dissolve them), and is "generally regarded as safe" (GRAS). It is recognized by the FDA to be safe and it is usually compared to the toxicity of water. Water and vitamin C are critical for human health, and generally considered non- toxic. No reports of death by vitamins are known.
A healthy person can take anywhere from 4-15 grams (4,000-15,000 mg) of Vitamin C in a 24 hour period without getting the runs, but a sick person can tolerate anywhere from 10-20 times more. Even as much as 100-200 grams orally per day.
